ABOUT HARRIS LEVINSON
Emoticon Productions was founded in New York City in 2002. Harris, an Emmy award-winning producer, is the President and Executive Producer for Emoticon.
Currently Emoticon is Executive Producing and consulting on various fashion, food, entertainment, lifestyle and live event video projects. Prior to his consulting work, Harris was the Head of Production for Picture Shack Entertainment (PSE). PSE produced MTV’s “Warren the Ape”, multiple series for A&E including “Paranormal State” and “Psychic Kids” as well as Animal Planet’s “The Haunted.”
Harris previously served as Supervising Producer for Condé Nast Digital producing award winning broadband videos and driving new initiatives on the digital frontier. He worked with several high profile projects bringing Fashion Week shows in New York, London, Paris and Milan to Style.com, Vogue.com and other Conde Nast fashion sites. Other work for Condé Nast included The New Yorker Festival and Conference, Fashion Rocks and specialty projects for the publishing side of Condé Nast Publications.
Harris started in television working on shows for ABC’s primetime reality series “Wife Swap”, VH1’s reality series “Spread” The Fine Living Network’s one-hour special, “Sit..Stay.. Style” and the Style Network’s reality-sitcom, “New York Nick”. He has worked on diverse shows such as Bravo’s “Celebrity Poker Showdown” and The 10 Biggest Little Things of 2004” , Discovery’s award show “The Biker Build-Off: Ultimate Chop” and the series “Simply Smashing with Meriel Bradley”.
Traditional television production has taken Harris across most of the United States, even into Cuba. Highlights include working for Comedy Central’s USO Comedy Tour and General Motor’s live entertainment stage at the Salt Lake City 2002 Winter Olympics.
In addition to his broadcast work, Harris consults for production companies on their budget, staffing and production needs.
The Producers Guild of America (PGA), National Academy of Arts & Sciences (NATAS) and Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (ATAS) hold Harris as an associate of the New Media Councils and he is a member of the Alpha Epsilon Pi Fraternity and graduate of The Ohio State University.
